Campanile Annecy - Cran Gevrier

this hotel was being renovated but is caused no problems. the staircase was temporary up to the room. the room was modernised and the bed turned round from usual lay out. this was very good and gave much more space with the TV on the wall also. the manager was excellent.

It is about 2km away from the main part of the town and lake. There is however an excellent bus service. This is a relatively good value hotel as the hotels closer to town and buy the lake are very expensive. over 300 euros for 2 night's B&B is still a lot.

Just a few mins drive from the lake and parking in town is either free or dirt cheap by UK standards like 1.70€ for 4 hours. Probably too far to walk. The hotel has decent sized rooms and a good breakfast including pancakes, bacon and maple syrup as well as the usual French fare.

Good location for accsess to main roads when leaving. Excellent evening meal and breakfast at a reasonable price. Attentive staff.

the rooms were clean but you need a car to go to anywhere and there was no taxis nor uber around the area
